Our school uses the appropriate surrounding of the Tulsa Stained Glass
Company's production studios, where experienced tutors pass on their
skill during evening and weekend classes. Here, students learn the
centuries old techniques and history of stained glass, while becoming
familiar with the modern supplies and equipment of today's stained
glass crafter. The principles of craftsmanship along with technique are
taught at the school, while the adjoining showroom carries a full range
of tools, supplies and patterns to help crafters create their
decorative stained glass pieces.
On-site Beginning Stained Glass
This class is the basics of the stained glass craft, taught by seasoned
professionals. By taking this class, you will be able to make stained glass
for your home, as gifts or find a new vocation.
Class are EIGHT consecutive Thursday evenings from 7 to 9:30pm. The program
is like a college course rather than a hobby class, you will be amazed at
what you will learn in this short time. Curriculum includes lectures,
demonstrations and hands-on building simple projects to learn lead
construction (used to make window and door panels) and copperfoil
construction (used to make lampshades and kaleidoscopes). Glass cutting,
assembly procedures, pattern making, color selection and much more is
included.
Our primary instructor is teacher accredited by the Stained Glass
Association of America and said to be the best this side of the Mississippi
River. I suggest enrolling now, space is limited. Class dates are on our
calendar or call studio.
The tuition cost is only $175 including your manual and the use of our
tools. Everyone will build at least one, some have built five stained glass
panels (windows) while in class. Pay for your materials at the end of each
nightly session.
